I do think it’s just part of a work and gimmick now for him to be like that. Wrestling was that important to him and he knows his physical relevance is gone but if he works this angle or being the bitter and upset veteran he continues to have an identity. However, haha, I do agree with Al in that if he truly is bitter and resentful..he had a fucking awesome job and awesome life. I am so glad I jobbed Al out on all those video games & figure feds. Not much different to real life where he lost pretty much every match he was in. What Bret said about being one of the boys in the locker room really shows he was in a business where most are in it for themselves. Bruno Sanmartino had very similar grievances towards the industry at his later years.
